7 steps to take for a seamless start.
Cleaning the filter components
Pour 5 L of Filter cleaner into the sand filter. Allow to act for at least 1 hour and 30 minutes.
If you have another kind of filter system, place the filter components in a container filled with a solution consisting of up to 10% of filter scale remover product (1l for 10l of water).
PH adjustment
Analyse the total alkali strength (TAS) and TH to find the ideal pH and then adjust it with pH plus or minus. Adjust the TAS if applicable.
Shock treatment
Use Acti chlorine shock granules, 150 g for 10 m3 in the skimmer.
Maintenance treatment
Acti Chlorine slow 250, 1 tablet per 25 m3 every 7 to 10 days.
If you have a sand filter: Acti multi-purpose tablets, 1 tablet per 25 m3 every 5 to 8 days.
Scale remover treatment
Spread the Acti scale remover product over the tank with a watering can, 1l per 20 m3
Flocculation in sand filters
If you have a sand filter, use Flocculating pads 1 per 25 m3 in the skimmer or pre-filter
Transparency
Apply Acti Anti-algae JET 35, 1/2l per 35m3, twelve hours after the chlorine treatment.
